The Freight House
About

- $$, $$$
At Freight House, we're full of hospitality, hometown pride, and Southern cooking at its finest. Built by L&N railroad as a freight depot in 1915, our century-old building has character in every brick and beam. Today, we're a proud fixture of historic downtown Hartselle, serving classic, refined Southern fare. From slow-cooked pinto beans to savory prime rib, everything is made by hand, right down to our potato chips. We're honored to be a part of this building's long life, and we can't wait to show you what makes Hartselle the City of Southern Hospitality.

Yes,they have inside dining. The restaurant is an old actual train depot
No, the food is great, I had one of the best filet mignon dinners I've ever had there.
I've done private parties but always during regular business hours. It would probably depend on the size of the group and if it's large enough to make it worthwhile for the restaurant.
Yes but for lunch only. 11am-2pm
